An event every month that begins at 6:00 pm on day First of the month, repeating indefinitely
Bluegrass standards are our main thing, but you won’t be judged if you can’t think of one. Just walk on in through the open gate, go into the garage space on your right, leave your case up on the little stage across from the door, and let the good times roll.
We’re entering what ought to be a less dangerous period, Covid-wise, but we’re still being careful. Thanks to Maria and her Out West Garage, we have a large, well-ventilated space. On top of that, we try to give everybody plenty of elbow room, wear a mask, and above all, be vaccinated.
When you think about it, trust is a big part of getting everything we can get out of bluegrass picking. You don’t have a signed contract with your fellow jammers; you just count on them hitting the right chord at the right time so the song can come together just right. Similarly, we aren’t checking vax cards at the jam; we’re trusting each other on this. Let’s not let each other down. There aren’t any guarantees, but the shots are the best shot we have at beating this thing. If you haven’t got at least the two, please stay home until you have.
Please forward this along to anyone else you know who’s into bluegrass and might want to join us!
