The Father’s Day Festival features three stages. The CBA welcomes your band’s application. Bands may simultaneously submit to both Vern’s Stage and the California Showcase, according to the guidelines of each stage.
VERN’S STAGE presents an opportunity for up to 20 California Bluegrass and Old-time bands to perform at the festival each year. Submission details for 2022 will be announced shortly.
The CALIFORNIA SHOWCASE hosts five California-based non-touring Bluegrass, Old-time, and gospel bands to play on the Pioneer and Main Stages each year. All bands submitting to California Showcase (CS) must be California-based, non-touring bands, who have not been a CS band for the previous 3 years (see NOTE at bottom). Bands should send submissions in mp3 format to the Showcase Coordinator at [email protected], along with contact information, names of band members, and a band photo. Each submission shall contain three songs, at least one of which is a slower number. To preserve judging neutrality, video and CD submissions will not be accepted. Submissions must be received by no later than September 1. NOTE: given the two-year FDF cancellation, bands that were selected in 2017 and prior may apply for CS 2022, bands that were selected in 2018 and prior may apply for CS 2023, and bands that were selected in 2019 and prior may apply for CF 2024.
The MAIN STAGE features headliner Bluegrass and Old-time bands from California and outside the state. Selection is managed by the CBA Entertainment Coordinator and the Talent Acquisition Group. Please contact [email protected].
