Dry tent camping
There is a specific “Tent Camping” area to the east of the RV campground where only tents or car/van camping is allowed. These sites are first come, first served. You may arrive at any time. If you arrive before Saturday, June 10, 2023, you will pay the Nevada County Fairgrounds directly. If you arrive on Saturday, June 10, 2022, or after, you will pay the CBA at a rate of $20 per day through Wednesday, June 14, 2023. You may purchase this camping option at the gate as you arrive or through the TIX program.
Dry camping is included in the Full Festival ticket starting Thursday, June 15, 2023.
There is additional dry tent camping throughout the campground, wherever you are able to find a spot. The costs are the same.
You may not camp at an electrical pedestal without first paying $200. Please do not block the electrical pedestal. You will be asked to move and that would be a hassle! Thank you in advance.

Dry RV Camping
There is plenty of room throughout the campground for RVs. These sites are first come, first served. You may arrive at any time. If you arrive before Saturday, June 10, 2023, you will pay the Nevada County Fairgrounds directly. If you arrive on Saturday, June 10, 2023, or after you, will pay the CBA at a rate of $25 per day through Wednesday, June 14, 2023. You may purchase this camping option at the gate as you arrive or through the TIX program.
Dry camping is included in the Full Festival ticket starting Thursday, June 15, 2023. Dry camping may be purchased.

These sites are assigned per a lottery system. “CBA Members Only” are eligible to enter the lottery. The lottery will open on January 1, 2023, when CBA members may submit their information to be entered into the lottery. The cutoff date for submissions will be February 15, 2023. Submissions may be done by USPS mail or by email to: [email protected]. Lottery winners must be prepared to purchase a Full Festival ticket or be eligible for a comp ticket. All Full Hookup sites need to be paid for by March 17, 2023 and the Full Festival ticket must be paid for my April 17, 2023. The cost of the sites will be $300.
Pickers' Special Camping
CBA MEMBERS ONLY – This is a new program that we tried for the first time in 2022. PLEASE READ THE DESCRIPTION CAREFULLY. If you are a picker and would like to come camp and play music, and NEVER go to the stage or inner fairgrounds, we have an option for you!!! You may purchase this camping option at the gate as you arrive or through the TIX program. Tent camping will be $125 per person and RV camping will be $150 per person. You will be able to camp from Saturday, June 10, 2023, through Sunday, June 18, 2023. Please remember you will not be able to access the interior of the fairgrounds for any reason.
Komfort Kamping
The CBA is offering what is called Komfort Kamping. Just as it sounds, a Kosy, Komfy tent will be set up, and ready and waiting when you arrive to the festival. Here is what you will find:
- Casper Brand mattress and pillows with quality white cotton linens & down comforter
- Two bath towels per bed
- Two redwood bed side tables
- An area rug
- A copper clothing rack & 4 hangers
- 2 rechargeable lanterns, twinkle lights, and garden lantern out front of the tent
- A 4’x6’ straw mat out front of the tent
- A 5000 MAH charge bank to recharge lanterns and or phones
- A Greeting Card
These camp sites will be available starting Thursday, June 15, 2023 at 10:00am, with departure being Sunday, June 18, 2023 by 5:00pm.
ADA Camping
There are a limited number of ADA Accessible camping spaces available for Festival attendees that need special accommodations. “Advance Reservations” are required by May 1, 2023. Please email your request to [email protected]. Campers in the designated ADA camping areas must display a California (or other state) ADA Placard on their camping vehicle or automobile. You may arrive on Saturday, June 10, 2023. The ADA “Bluegrass Taxi” service is available during the festival.
Camping Rules
There is a specific “Tent Camping” area to the east of the RV campground where only tents or vehicle camping is allowed.
These sites are first come, first served.
1. Do not lay power cords across the roadways
2. Do not save spots for friends by roping off areas
3. Please place all trash in appropriate containers
4. No campfires allowed. Use propane flames cautiously
5. Keep wristbands on at all times.
6. Generators may not be used between 10pm and 8am. Use them sparingly at other times.
7. Dogs will not be allowed in the tent only camping area .
This policy applies to dog walkers as well as tent campers and RVs camped along the fence line.
We ask that you place all garbage in the cans provided by 8:30 a.m. on Monday, June 20th, so that the clean-up crew can collect it and finish their weeklong task in good time.
