David Grier, recognized by Acoustic Guitar Magazine in 2000 as one of the Artists of the Decade, and 3 times IBMA Guitar Player of the Year, will play in Placerville, at the Kerr Family home. The concert will be held on the lawn with a fire pit. The Kerr’s will provide s’mores. Please bring your own chair and favorite beverage. Tickets $20 with all proceeds going directly to the artist. Back by popular demand, the Kathy Kallick Band will play the Folsom Opry House, 113 Puffer Way, Folsom, on Friday, September 14, 7:30 PM (door at 7:00). Kathy’s band has quite a following in our area so don’t delay making your reservations. This outstanding band includes Annie Staninec on fiddle, Tom Bekeny on mandolin, Greg Booth on banjo and dobro, and Cary Black on bass. They have toured internationally and played major festivals all over the US. Their sets always include originals as well as bluegrass favorites and even some surprises. Admission is $20 for CBA members or $25 for non-members. All admission fees go to the band. The concert includes all of Loretta’s famous pies you can eat.
