Redwood Flat is a young Bluegrass band from Northern California. Consisting of current and recently graduated UC Davis and UC Berkeley students, Redwood Flat is a product of the growing Bluegrass scene on California college campuses. Their strong vocals and harmonies shine in their repertoire, which ranges from classic to modern songs that have inspired each member’s musical journey. Redwood Flat brings a positive attitude to the stage, with the occasional silly streak!
Redwood Flat is proud to have one foot in the lively college band scene, bringing Bluegrass music to new young audiences, while staying rooted in the vibrant, storied California Bluegrass community.
Led by guitarist and vocalist Sam Saxe-Taller, Redwood Flat features the singing of all its members: Maddy Roorda (fiddle), Jasper Manning (mandolin), Isabella Lazaro (bass), and Charlie Kvoriak (banjo/dobro/bass). With an insatiable appetite for jamming, you can find many of them at festivals and jams across the state and country!
