Lodi Grape Festival Grounds

Fall Campout is a great time to get together and play some music in the Central Valley! It doesn’t have to be bluegrass either…..Gospel, Old Time, Americana, and even Swing Jazz is appreciated at camp! All are welcome to play acoustic music, no matter the style. If you can find someone else to play your favorite tunes with, that’s what it’s all about. Music and Friends!

As always, the Annual Membership Meeting will take place on Saturday evening, before the concert, at 6pm. The newly elected CBA Board Members will be announced and introduced. It will be interesting to see who is elected/re-elected this year. The folks on the board have a Very Large job. Deciding what the CBA does over the next year and making it happen is hard work!!!

Sunday, October 20, 2024 at 10:00am will be the first Board meeting of the newly elected board. You are encouraged to attend!!! It’s the one time that you can ask questions and voice your concerns. It’s a great time to let them know how you feel about the direction the CBA is going in, the activities that you’d like to see happen and the philosophy you’d like the CBA to follow. You are vital to the success of this organization, and I encourage you to be there!!! The Board needs to hear You! Your opinion matters!!!! See you There!!!

Volunteers are always needed at campouts. It takes a team to provide what you love. Please consider helping out the CBA. You can contact Deb Livermore or Phoebe Suelflow, (Volunteers@CaliforniaBluegrass.net) to Volunteer.  We need help at the entrance gate and during the Saturday activities. There is an advantage to volunteering – ask Deb!

SEE YOU SOON!!!!

Youth Concert

We have two exceptional bands for your listening pleasure this year. Our Youth Concert is on Saturday night, October 19, 2024 when we will have “The B Strings” and “Blue Birds on a Wire” performing. Here is some info about them.

The B Strings is a family band from Redding, CA. The band is made up of the five kids and their Mom, the Benham family! All of the kids play the fiddle, but they all also play at least one other instrument! Gracie, Lucie, Bo, Marah, and Jack are so much fun to watch and listen to. If you came to the Spring Campout and watched the Fiddle Competition, you may remember them!!! Winners All! You’re going to fall in love with them as I have!

Blue Birds on a Wire is a duo this time. You may have seen them at other events as a 3 piece group, but this time it will be Joselyn Sky and Jasper Manning. These kids have been playing quality music for quite a while now. I believe they will have some magic up their sleeves!!! You should be there to witness it!

This Youth Concert starts at 7:00pm, after the Annual Membership Meeting. You can purchase your tickets at the “Camping Check In” booth or at the door. The cost is $15 per adult, $5 for teens 13 – 17, and kids 12 and under are free!!!  All proceeds go to the CBA Youth Programs!!!
