Southern Humboldt After-School Bluegrass Club
Launches April 4, 2025
We’re proud to launch our first ABC program in partnership with Help’s on the Way, a local non-profit based in Garberville. This program is for 4th to 8th grade students and is held every Friday at the Octagon in Briceland, CA from April 4th to June 6th. This opportunity is an excellent way to learn how to play an instrument, make new friends, and build a new community of music. This first session will focus on learning to play guitar.
Cost is $100 per kid per session (10-week session). Scholarship and 50% sibling discount available. For more info, contact helpsontheway2023@gmail.com
This program is for both beginners and for kids with musical experience. Books will be provided by the program. Instruments will be provided as needed.
At the end of the class every Friday we invite the community to play music with the kids – all ages and levels of players are welcome – kid and adult! Please bring your instrument and join us for a Friday picking, with a lot of bluegrass, food and drinks for sale after the class, every Friday at 5pm at the Octagon in Briceland, CA.
