Significant Otter, a San Francisco-based duo consisting of Bria Light and Mark Ignatius, delivers a captivating blend of heartfelt songs from years past and their original, fun-loving tunes. The duo weaves an intimate tapestry of sound, driven by vocal harmonies and fiddle melodies. Mark doubles on guitar and mandolin, while Bria trades up on fiddle and guitar as well, adding an enchanting dynamic flow to their shows.

The duo developed from a shared love of Bluegrass, Old-time, and folk music, as well as from more contemporary influences, including Gillian Welch/David Rawlings, Pharis and Jason Romero, Tim and Mollie O’Brien, and Watchhouse, to name a few. Significant Otter performs regularly in the Bay Area, and you can catch them at their monthly residency in the Mission District.
