Then I’ve got good news for you. The web team has suffered a few Welcome Column retirements and we’re on the prowl for replacements.
We’re talking a once per month obligation to write an 800 word or more column about pretty much anything you’d like to write about. Bluegrass is good, music in general is fine, but, really, whatever’s on your mind when you sit down to write is fine by us. Writing coherent sentences on a deadline, albeit a quite modest one, is not the dream job of everyone…okay, I’ll admit it, not for MOST people…but if you’ve got a knack for telling a story, expressing an opinion or reporting some news, the Welcome columnist job can be a rewarding pursuit.
