It happened in, around, near, or not too far from Palo Alto, California. To be more accurate, but more generalized, it happened someplace in Santa Clara, County, CA. The year was 1993. It wasn’t a big explosion, just a small one, one of many in the state of California that year. Maybe like a 4th of July firecracker going off. But that was just the start.
From the beginning in 1993 it exploded again, and again, year after year. And in the year 2012 the explosion went off in a big way in the city of Boston. And just when you thought it wouldn’t happen again after that, it did, in Nashville (Music City). Exploding like a nuclear bomb. The year was 2017. And now it continues to explode even more. Unstoppable!
This here writing column is short, but there you have it. I mean there you have HER. The International Bluegrass Music Association’s Momentum Award, Guitar Player of the Year (2 years in a row), Emerging Artist of the Year, Female Vocalist of the Year, Song of the Year, and Recorded Event of the Year.
MOLLY TUTTLE!
Lest we forget, we have to remember the CBA’s Jack Tuttle (bluegrass teacher). Jack is Molly’s dad, who is half responsible for the whole Molly Tuttle explosion. (Molly’s mom is the other half).
(Note) The last time I saw Molly Tuttle perform was on a recent PBS TV Special, “Bluegrass Now.” But with the current health scare in America, all bluegrass events have to be, “Bluegrass Later.”
