I hope you and yours are doing as well as possible during these strangest of times. I continue to appreciate your interest in Bay Area bluegrass and old time music events, despite the fact that such events have to be experienced from home these days.
Many musicians are offering online concerts and lessons, and our donations can help them get through this difficult time. Other sources of support include gift certificates, Patreon memberships, and purchase of music through artist web sites, bandcamp, and other online outlets.
Thanks to the heroic efforts of Jeanne Marie Acceturo and others at KALW, the station has continued broadcasting most of its usual schedule — including Bluegrass Signal, which I’m producing at home.
I’m still hoping that the next newsletter will have news of the jams, concerts, and festivals that we’re missing these days. Please visit the Bluegrass Signal web site for updates, playlists, and a number of items and articles of interest to bluegrass and old time music fans like me.
