In just eight short years the GREAT 48 Jam in Bakersfield has become our largest event after the Fathers Day Festival. The jam starts today, Thursday, and runs through the weekend, and brings equal numbers (in the hundreds) of Southern California and Northern California pickers together. Not to mention folks from out of state and even out of the country.
Whether your a seasoned musician and/or singer, someone just starting out or a bluegrass and old-time fan who loves the spontaneity of on-the-fly jamming, I believe you’ll find something at the 48 to rock your boat. Come join us if you’re able. If not, we’ll be back on Monday, undoubtedly sleepy but chalk full of 48 ’18 stories.
