Last evening I posted an update on JD’s gall bladder surgery situation. Here’s what I wrote…
“Well, wouldn’t you know, JD Rhynes’ gall bladder DID NOT get yanked out as planned last week. His son drove him to the hospital in Sacto, he checked in, got prepped and was actually being pushed toward the operating theater on a gurney when someone, thank God, remembered he had an electronic device for countering the effects of his Parkinsons embedded in his torso. And, you guessed it, JD DIDN’T bring along the remote control device necessary to turn it off so the surgery was canceled. Re-scheduled for tomorrow. Keep the old man in your thoughts. “
When JD called to let me know what was up I promised him I’d do two things: 1) let his friends know by posting on the Message Board; and 2) post one of his already-ran columns since, because he’s not taking his meds due to the upcoming surgery, he’s having trouble typing.
Well, I remembered to do one of those things. Sorry, Pal.
