We will look at common jam fiddle tunes and go through both a Scruggs, Melodic and Single String approach for each one as well as look at ways to combine aspects from each version.
In addition we will look at ways to get into tasteful jazz soloing on banjo on tunes such as EMD, Honeysuckle Rose, or Lady be Good.
The takeaway from this class will be to give students a way to get more comfortable on soloing in different styles as well as a way to breakdown the foundations of soloing outside of a bluegrass context.
