My mother’s birthday is today!

Rose Goulart Judd is born  December 6, 1920: Married to Buzz Judd Dec. 6, 1941.

Died in 1980 ravished by lupus and scleroderma. She was my mother, my best friend, my muse, my sounding board, and I loved her dearly.

I  found this poem with no author credited but it conveys my feelings.

You suffered the wrath of the disease

Day after day, you endured the pain

You experience life’s worst lows,

You put up with trauma, again and again,

But even wile doing  this

You had a smile on your beautiful face

The heavens may have taken you away

But  your spirit, nothing can erase

Even though you are not here

You live among us, even today

Mom, we feel your love’s warmth

Through the sun’s rays

We miss you

My Christmas wish to the CBA members is a genuine hope all of you have been as lucky as I have. There was not one day when I never felt loved by my parents and I can’t remember ever spending more than a couple of hours being upset with them. ( My big sister Maria of course is all part of this.)

I could not fathom having parents that were not there for me or who did not listen to what I had to say.  Hell, my parents went to see A Hard Day’ Night and thought it was a really cool movie. My mother went to the wherehouse (An old record store) to buy me the Tubes LP many years ago. She asked for help and the counter person said the Tubes were not that cool. My mother laid into him saying,”My son likes the Tubes and he knows what he is talking about. Now get me the LP.”

Yes I had the  greatest mom and dad around.

Watching our  5 grandchildren grown up so fast it is like watching  corn sprout up in a corn field. Our oldest grandson in in 8th grade, the next grandson is in 5th grade, the next grandson is in 4th grade, our granddaughter is  1st t grade, and our youngest grandson  is 2 1/2    That makes up a basketball team.

I hope all our grandchildren will look back at their early lives and feel as fortunate as I do. That is my Christmas wish for them.

All of you have a wonderful Christmas. Be nice to each other. It doesn’t cost a penny.  Until January 3 2020.

Read a book, hug a child, pet a dog, stroke, eat a bar of chocolate and Ikiru.
