Time Marches On

The Fall Campout in Lodi was a hoot and a half, at least from my point of few. Perfect weather, and lots of fun jamming.  The open mic was a fun aside (Thank you, Bruce Champion), and the dinner, well, wow! Chef Mike outdid himself and the band aided mightily to my digestion and enjoyment of that fine meal.

Sunday brought the Board of Directors meeting, and I do thanks those who voted, and it was fun to welcome some new Board members!
I’m going to have to keep this welcome message a little short – my youngest son is getting married today, and so our household is caught in a final whirlwind of preparation.
I reflect on how we measure the passing of years with numerous regular, predictable events (birthdays, holidays, and CBA events). And pretty much every year, we experience something in the realm of the unexpected – some good, and some bad.
Regardless of how we feel about it, or how ready we are, time does continue to march on, and it’s incumbent upon on each of us to squeeze all the joy and love we can during that march.
As the bluegrass song says, “You can’t change the number of days in your life – just the amount of life in your days.”
