This week I will be posting pictures on Facebook of the lucky winners of the CBA raffle.
Many, many thanks to all who purchased tickets, and helped support the CBA’s IBMA involvement. You are ALL winners in the eyes of Karma, and in my eyes. And your generosity has made a winner of CBA, too!
This was my first year of being Raffle Coordinator, but I was helped immensely by Charlene and Slim Sims, my predecessors in this role. In addition, I was supported by an able (and far more experienced) team of volunteers: Don Branson, Joyce Bowcock, Kris & Rick Nagle, Pat Bockover and Rainy Escobar.
Lisa Burns handled (with determination and calm aplomb) the nearly impossible job of getting donated instruments, once again.
My colleagues at the CBA were very supportive of “the new guy”, especially Deb Livermore, who talked me off the ledge a few times.
The raffle was a complete success in that it raised money and got fine instruments into the hands of the selected winners.
I believe in continuous improvement, though and will strive to ensure the raffle is somehow better next year.
